Learn How to Play Hand & Foot

Master Hand & Foot Canasta — a classic card game beloved by families and friends. The goal of Hand & Foot is to score the most points by melding cards and forming "Canastas" (sets of 7 cards). You must get rid of all the cards in your "Hand", then play all the cards in your "Foot", and finally "go out" to end the round.

Draw: Draw two cards from the stock pile (or pick up the discard pile if you can meld the top card).

Meld (Optional): Lay down sets of 3 or more cards of the same rank. You can start new melds or add to existing ones.

Discard: Discard one card to end your turn. If this is the last card in your hand, you immediately pick up your Foot!

4-7: 5 Points · 8-K: 10 Points · A & 2: 20 Points · Joker: 50 Points

Red (Natural) Canasta (No wild cards): 500 pts · Black (Mixed) Canasta (Includes wild cards): 300 pts
